I just found your videos and I’m loving them! That’s a huge chicken! I’m living in southern Costa Rica and have access to lots of fresh veggies, fruits, meats and raw milk products. We’re used to having more processed products like crackers and lunch meat to fall back on but the products here aren’t up to my standards, so we’ve been cooking from scratch more. I’m actually really liking not having the convenient premade foods and having to prepare things like hummus, coconut milk, pumpkin puree from scratch. Those things here are just so expensive or poorer quality so we make them!

Thank you for this video you guys are great and keep your eyes on God and his word. Did you ever consider coundertop reverse osmosis system. They take every contaminent out there is. You just have to add the good minerals back in by drops or reminerlizing filters? Do you think the Reverse Osmosis or the pro one is better for untreated well water? Why did you choose Pro One over reverse osmosis countertop filter?

I have not found any ideas for muffins cups, the paper cups are no longer safe either. I have checked for every to see which company is safe-but found none. I tried to find nonstick metal pans and good luck with that There are steel or cast iron versions but the cost is thru the roof for me. I make muffins like 1x/year-so not worth it for me.

Thanks for the taco bowl idea and the info on precooking rice. I also like to put leftover rice in a freezer bag in my freezer because I can’t always use up rice fast enough and hate food waste. ❤

It sounds like you've already heard of this method for weeds, but if you haven't heard of the documentary called Back to Eden Gardening, it's one of our favorites! The method worked wonders for weeds (as well as water retention and soil/organic matter replenishing!) for a several people I know in the midwest area.

I would always cook up 30 pounds of ground round with seasoning and freeze in small batches. I then could take one out to make tacos, casseroles that I added all lefts over to, pizza, etc. Every Sunday I made healthy sweet breads to freeze, had slower cooker, oven, and top of stove going with meals for the week. Fridays was left overs for my husband and oldest child while the younger ones waited for pizza.

I LOVE how amazing this homestead life is, while seeing Costco sugar or other store items. It’s a reminder that we can do amazing things and make the most of our meals from scratch, but it’s also okay and normal to need to buy things at the store.
